Mykola Tomenko is convinced that there will be no Double Reconstructions of "Olimpiysky" National Sports Complex at the Expense of the Budget Funds
Closing the round table discussion "How to finish National Sport Complex Olimpiysky Reconstruction in Time", M. Tomenko expressed his conviction that the NSC reconstruction and building of other EURO objects would be held under public and parliamentary supervision.
M. Tomenko expressed gratitude to the Temporary Inquiry Panel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for its work and to the journalists, experts and publicity for drawing attention to the issues concerning NSC "Olimpiysky" reconstruction.
He informed that the NSC "Olimpiysky" director was dismissed for the abuse but it was obvious that it was not his initiative. He emphasized that it was essential not only to dismiss but also to find out in what direction had millions of Euro disappeared. These issues should become the topic of the discussion at the Prosecution General of Ukraine.
Moreover, due to the common efforts, the Government rejected increase of the NSC reconstruction financing by more than one milliard UAH as suggested by the Ministry on Family, Youth and Sports.
The Vice-Chairman expressed his hope that the reconstruction of "Olimpiysky" would be completed without dismantling existing sport objects around the stadium. "Today our discussion has also testified that one should not rely on the wishes of the EURO officials, liquidating track and field athletics tracks and dismantling sport objects around "Olimpiysky" for several stand-up parties during Euro-2012", - The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared.
The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has also expressed his hope that NSC "Olimpiysky" Supervision Board would finally commence its work. On condition of common efforts and work, the reconstruction of NSC "Olimpiysky" will be completed successfully and in time.
